Been playing for 3 years or so. I've gotten more and more into metal-ish bands (my preferences don't follow strict genre lines) like Metallica, Dragonforce and Dream Theater, but I still enjoy some Lynnyrd Skynnyrd, ZZ Top, U2 and Led Zeppelin, among many others. I also have a deep appreciation for classical stuff (like Vivaldi, Beethoven, and Chopin). I strongly believe that Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and John Petrucci are the best guitarists out there, though Malmsteen might come close. I also have deep philosophical views on music and its purpose and meaning. Lately I've been looking into the shred movement in an attempt to explore these views.
